World-Class Beaches in Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea. They been recognised for securing ‘some of the best beaches in the world’ after passing challenging criteria. They are now among only 55 UK winners of the Keep Britain Tidy Blue Flag.

Tourist Information and Visitor Guides promoting Skegness and Mablethorpe have enjoyed their best ever uptake, tourism representatives have said. The 2014 Visitor Guides for Skegness, Mablethorpe and the Lincolnshire Wolds are reported to be doing ‘very, very well this year’.

Mablethorpe Running Club’s Janine Stones and Nigel Booth were among 80 runners in the annual Belchford Three Churches 10k. This undulating course in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds scenery between Louth and Horncastle proved no problem for them.

At the Town Council meeting last night (Monday), Councillor Bernard Dobbs was elected to be the new Mayor for 2013-2014. Bernard is the town council’s longest standing member. This is the fourth time that Bernard will take the chains. Well done!

Mablethorpe will be celebrating its 1st year running Lincolnshire Technology Hub. It launched in May 2013 to give residents and businesses access to cutting-edge digital technology.
