Skegness Area Caravan Owners should be Vigilant

Police are warning caravan owners in the Skegness and Ingoldmells area to be vigilant and check their caravan security after eight caravans were raided in the Skegness area in a week. (Skegness Standard)

All eight caravans had their windows smashed to get inside and their televisions stolen. Two caravans were attacked on the Skegness Water Leisure Park and others in Ingoldmells were broken into recently.

Another three caravans were burgled at the Robin Hood Leisure Park in South Road, Chapel St Leonards in the early hours of the morning. As were two other caravans at The Beeches caravan park, Chapel St Leonards. A bowling ball was used to smash the window of a caravan overnight last Tuesday.

Community beat manager PC Seb Clarke said: “It is quite possible that they are linked, caravan owners should make sure that all their windows are locked and secure. There is a caravan watch system in place and we are patrolling the area.”
