[This is Lincolnshire] LIFEBOAT staff have warned beach-goers to take care when using inflatables on the Lincolnshire coast.
Did you know, a total of 67 people were rescued on the Lincolnshire coast last year and just under 250 people were aided by lifeguards?
They are concerned for tourists over the busy Easter and May Bank Holiday period. The main danger at Skegness is inflatables being blown out to sea. There will be major campaigns with local shops to make sure tourist sand locals tell their customers to tie their inflatables to a tether.
With a strong breeze, you could easily be blown miles out to sea. They advise that wearing a lifejacket could save a child’s life. But parents are urged not to attempt rescue missions if they see their children in danger.
